Walkable, age-friendly, mixed-income and resilient, “Missing Middle Housing” refers to a wide range of housing types that can help meet the demand for walkable urban living. Join us as architect and urbanist DANIEL PAROLEK, AIA, speaks about the need for a paradigm shift in the way homes are designed, located, regulated and developed to help fill this gap. Daniel coined the term “Missing Middle Housing” in 2010 and is a national leader in architecture, design, and urban planning—specifically in the creation of livable, sustainable communities and buildings that reinforce them. He is a principal of Opticos Design, Inc. in Berkeley, CA.
